Dear Sonia, sounds like you're having a Flora Day. I have Jordan and Rufus Days too. They're gone from around us but they're still in our hearts and our heads.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a wonderful summer. Our sun has finally arrived. Maybe one day, you'll find another dog to enjoy all that beautiful space and more long walks with you :) Big hugs x

ReplyDeletelovely, lovely photos of flora!
ReplyDeleteFlora, such a little dog but such big love! I can tell from the photos. Thanks for sharing these great pictures from your time with her.
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult when they are no longer with us. Flora was loved and happy though, you can see that in your beautiful photos. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteAh... little Flora, what a sweet dog she was. I know you miss her so much. When I had a dog, I loved to go for long walks, but now, if I want to go for a walk in the forest, I borrow Tessa, YoungerSon's dog, and take her out for the afternoon. Tessa doesn't get to go for many long walks at the moment, as they have new twins and a 2-1/2 year old, so life can be quite busy with no time for dog walking!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet girl! Such a lovely face. So heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time that our beloved friends live on in our hearts and memories.
ReplyDeleteDear, sweet Flora. She was a lucky dog, showered with love, taking long walks, sniffing the tall grass. Such sweet words you send up to her!
ReplyDeleteSonia, bateu saudades, foi?
ReplyDeleteUm beijo enorme
Oi Sonia
ReplyDeleteAs fotografias sempre servirão pra que nossos melhores momentos nao sejam esquecidos.
Sempre fotografamos o que mais amamos.Olhando a Flora me dou conta do quanto é bom guardar essas lembranças , ela estava linda!
uma companheira e tanto !
e as saudades que ficam!
fica meu abraço pra voce
Oh Sonia, she was a lovely dog and I know you all miss her so much. I miss my dog and have been toying with the idea of getting another one. Just not sure yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a very blessed 2012!!
Beijus,
ReplyDeleteI say that your blog is awesome! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful dog Flora. i think you have to move on Sonia, get another one, though it may not be the same but you'll see love coming your way soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing fine Sonia

ReplyDelete(i came over to say thank you for stopping at my blog and leaving a comment. i am saddened by the loss of your faithful furry friend... i've been through that too many times, as well. never gets easier.)
hi sonia, thanks for the comments on my blog. so sorry to see that you lost your flora only a month after i lost my deefa. have you not considered getting another furry friend. i know its not a replacement for the pain in your heart but i can promise you it does help to have someone new to give your love to and every day i have stormy i love him more and more and his smiley face brings me such joy. lots of love, charlene xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia! I am looking again at the photos on your blog of Flora (she looks so much like Katie, in the face!) The rescue organization where I got Katie just started a meeting for people who have lost their beloved pets and miss them so much. I wish something like that had been around when I lost Jessie! Only because I think it would have been nice to talk with others who understood, and who knew what it was like. Some of the people around me, even well meaning friends, just did not understand the depth of my loss. They tried to say reassuring things, but it was usually encouraging me to get another dog and move on. That sort of thing. But it wasn't that easy! Do you have groups like that in Brazil? Do your friends understand?
ReplyDeleteHello again Sonia,
ReplyDeleteI am very much looking forward to seeing the collage of Flora, just let me know when it's ready or send it directly to that address I sent you. I was thinking that when you send it, I might use that as an opportunity to write something about the deep bond that we form with the pets in our lives, how we inevitably outlive them, and then how we choose to go on and honor their memory.
A fellow blogger lost her beloved dog companion one week ago Saturday, and this has had me thinking about it lately. I don't want to write about this in a sad way that would bring everybody down, just in a thoughtful way. I can either do it with the Flora collage, or the next post after the Flora one - whichever you prefer. Either way would be fine with me. I almost did a post like that this week, but decided to wait. Have a lovely day and thanks for sharing your thoughts!
So sorry about Flora. I'm dropping off some woofs & hugs for you! :)
ReplyDelete~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
This is my first visit to your blog, and I'm so sorry your Flora has passed away.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by to see the pictures of Flora, once again...Soooo Very Sweet....Such a lovely doggie-person. I'm glad you have lots of pictures of her Sonia....It is comforting, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult to lose a loving pet. But, what wonderful memories you have of her!!
ReplyDeleteDear Sonia,
ReplyDeleteI'm always thinking of you and Flora. I know you miss her terribly... in so many ways. xxoo
Sweet, sweet Flora. They do stay in our hearts forever, don't they?
ReplyDeleteDear Sonia...
ReplyDeleteOur beloved four legged friends find very quickly a place in our hearts. But when they leave us that place is theirs forever.
We will not forget them because they loved us unconditionally.
Take care Gisela.
