These are GREAT, Sonia! I love the look of all the pictures...That E with the circle and line through it in so many places....And this last picture of ALL the 'no smoking' on the plane....It is fsscinating, these different "signs"...the points of interest on the different participating blogs---ALL so different....
Muito interessantes estas belas fotos com os sinais de trânsito. Sabe que aqui na França eles são diferentes? No Brasil é proibido quando é "barrado", aqui é o contrário. Minha preferida é a foto do ônibus. Um beijo e um bom fim de semana.
Ohhhh! I see now....Thanks for the English Interpretation of the "legand" on the Bus Seats....It certainly does make for a food journey if people are NOT Smoking.
These are all good! My favorite is the bad dog...he might be bad but he is still cute! Laura came up with a very cool idea and it helps us know even more about the places we all come from!
Typepad is not being nice and posting mine on the main page so you have to go to my previous posts on the sidebar to even find it!
I'm sure that Flora is definitely not one of the "anti-social" variety of dogs! This is a good idea... but I don't think I have any photos to post at the moment, I'll have to keep my eyes open.
i just found your site from vitamin sea for the signs meme. i love the sign about your dog! it also explains the sign that my neighbors have. i live in an area of nj that has a very large and strong portuguese & brazilian community. my neighbors have sign that says cuidado cao and i thought it meant "city of the cow" LOL. the different types of signage in different communities and countries is so interesting. we take these everyday things for granted but are new and fresh to others. thanks for sharing yours!
Hi from Lloyd and Ranger: I wanted to let you know that I started a new job three weeks ago not only is it a new job with a different company it is a completely new career, that I have never done before, so when I get home at night I don’t have much energy left. Things are getting better and my days are running a bit smother now, so I want to start posting again, and visiting and commenting on everyone’s blog. When I visit your blog my comments might be a bit short if so it is just a time issue not that I am not interested but at least you will know I was there, I know as time goes on and I learn my job that things will get easier, it is sure a lot harder at age 55 than it was when I was in my twenty’s, I hope to post something new this week so please keep checking back. Ranger and I want to thank everyone for visiting our blog and we hope to be roaming again soon. Ranger and Lloyd.

Hi Sonia. love all your signs specially the one you have for your friendly Flora..
ReplyDeleteSonia, you could have used your second photo for theme day!!! Nice signs. Is the first one the same as a "beware of the dog" sign?
ReplyDeleteLOL! Sonia, I LOVE that sign about Flora! All we have here in the states are they typical "beware of the dog" signs. That one really made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteWhat does the E stand for on all the signs?
I'm going to show these photos to my daughters, it'll be good for them to see photos from other countries like this!

ReplyDeleteSônia, I loved all the pictures, specially you caught the different styles of the streets in São Paulo.
ReplyDeleteAnd Flora is a super social sweet dog!

ReplyDeleteRanger and Lloyd.
What an interesting group of photos. I particularly like the sign on the fence about Flora and the building with the red doors and windows.

So Flora is "anti social"! That would surprise me! False "publicity"! ? What does the postman say?
