Oh, I love your bookshelves. Mine could have been that huge too, but I purge, and purge, and purge. I only have two tall ones now, but still books are spilling over everywhere. Happy New Year to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteAs a former librarian you have warmed the cockles of my heart with this post!!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's wonderful. I live in Seattle and never heard anything about this.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! And love seeing your bookshelves. Enjoy the gift of books and reading!
ReplyDeleteAmazing !
ReplyDeleteYou are visually preaching to the amen corner. You can't move two feet around my place without stubbing your toe on a book.
ReplyDeleteThat is FANTASTIC!!! How did you ever find this amazing "HAPPENING"?
ReplyDeleteThis is stupendous, and almost unbelievable----but there it was, for all to see, with our own eyes!
Thank You, Dear Sonia....
AND,
HAPPY HAPPY 2014 TO YOU AND TO ALL THOSE YOU LOVE AND HOLD DEAR!
What fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd nerve-wracking towards the end when the books were going down the box stairs - I thought one would fly off and land amongst those not tumbled yet.
Now they have to put all those 2131 books back on the library bookshelves!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't often watch videos but that book domino one was quite entertaining. I do like your bookshelves.
ReplyDeleteLoved, loved, loved seeing that!!!! I was in Seattle the last weekend in April last spring, my first trip to the West Coast - sounds like I just missed this. What a fun video to watch, thanks for sharing, it brought a big smile. And I love seeing your bookshelves. I just adore books so much, I could surround myself with them in every room of the house. Thanks for brightening my day Sonia! :-)
ReplyDeleteOi, Sônia!
ReplyDeleteO que será que fizeram com esses livros depois da competição? Bem podiam deixá-los livres na natureza, não acha? (rs*)
Feliz 2014 para você e seus amados!!
Beijus,
Happy New Year dear Sonia
ReplyDeleteReading ( and writing) are my greatest joys in life -after my grandchildren!

ReplyDeleteA very Happy New Year to you from another major book lover. I now rely on a marvelous place, The New York Society Library, for just about all my books. They've got room to store everything, and all my bookshelves are now well over-loaded!
ReplyDeleteThank you also for your visit and comment. Glad you like the hat.
Cheers!
that's pretty cool. :)

ReplyDeleteSorry -- I was halfway through when I was interrupted, and didn't realize I'd made all those line feeds.
Feel free to delete.
I'm all for a home that has tall bookshelves crowded with books. Your room is a delight, with such warm colors and, of course, lots of books.
ReplyDeleteLibraries should do more of that. :-)
