After much work compiling pictures to my series about Holambra's Fields, I just want to take some time for a pleasant idleness. I need a little of "sombra e água fresca". In Portuguese "sombra" means "shadow", and "água fresca" means "fresh water". Did you get the picture? So, I need to have a time for doing nothing. The Italian people has a beautiful expression to describe the same thing: "a dolce far niente". Then I thought that these pictures would be appropriate for now.
Photos taken by myself in my garden. You can see these "Sibipiruna" trees, scientific name Caesalpinia peltophorides , in my garden HERE.

I know that feeling Sonia. We call it, "taking time out to smell the roses". Your garden looks like just the place to do that.

Here on the west coast of Canada we are still awaiting spring so these photos are a real treat and promise that soon we'll have leaves and sun and shadows LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Sonia - love the yellow flowers of this tree - they're quite spectacular when in bloom.
Beautiful, beautiful!!!

Sonia, que delícia, dá até para colocar uma rede e ficar a tarde toda com um livro na mão, tirando uma soneca... E a água fresca deve estar logo do outro lado, não? Bjs!
ReplyDeleteAlready a siesta under these trees would make me happy! Have a nice and relxing pause ... and don't forget to be back here within reasonable time!

Sonia, que belo jardim.
ReplyDeleteIsto é mesmo o paraíso. Imagino a quantidade de visitantes voadores que você deve receber por aí não?
A diversidade de pássaros deve ser muito grande.
Somos mesmo privilegiadas.

It`s wonderful to fly to your greenness from our greyness of these rainy, early spring days.

Sonia você vive num paraiso magnifico, adorei
ReplyDeleteI'd like to take a nap under those trees.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling relaxed now, thank you...I think I'll just go for a paddle in that cool, clear water above, and then stroll along the sand. And afterwards, I'll come back and sit for a spell under these wonderful trees, with a glass of iced tea..and have a chat with my dear friend, Sonia.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely daydream. I wish it could come true :)
