Like Peter and Fénix did (see their comments) I also went to Google Earth to view Jurumirim's dam, my house in Enseada Azul, the city of Avaré and the city of São Paulo.
From the top of my house’s water reservoir you can see the Bridge "Carvalho Pinto" that leads to Avaré. This bridge was built to span Jurumirim's Dam.
Such a lovely view, from your house's reservoir.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with a house reservoir, but I can probably do a Web Search on the term.
Mari-Nanci
I had a Google Earth view on your dam and lake. Impressive from above and nice looking from your pics!
ReplyDeleteSonia,
ReplyDeleteI am continually amazed at the views from your lovely home! I need to ask - do you have a boat?
I just love seeing your view - a different country. I've never been out of the United States but, hopefully, before I leave this earth, I plan to leave the country and experience a different culture.
By the way, the house in my photos is the neighbor's house. Yes, we have neighbors very close. Even though we are close, we have a lot of privacy and I rarely see them.
Thanks for your view!
Mary
Oh you have a wonderful view from your house ! The pictures are very beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI am always so happy to see pictures of all that surrounds you Sonia...That Bridge is an interesting shape...Not too high though, is it?
ReplyDeleteBTW: I posted a MEME a little while ago and I have tagged you. I usually don't tag anyone but this was fun to do and interesting, too...If you decide to do it, let me know whwen you post it...
Hope you havr a beautiful and lovely weekend my dear...!
("Inxerido", eu?)
ReplyDeleteBom final de semana
Beijo, menina
Awesome views and wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteLandscapes are so wide and calm, so different compared our hills and lakes and coniferous forests in this part of Finland.
Have a nice weekend!
You have such wonderful views from your house Sonia. That's a very large dam. I'm completely enchanted with that great expanse of blue water!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the pictures taken during your daily walks last time I visited and thought I'd left a comment on that one, but didn't find it. Like Val, I feel I've walked with you and visited. How lovely that would be, sitting on the bench, chatting, and watching flora eat grass :)
I hope you had a lovely few days away visiting family and friends.
Visita guiada! Quanto progresso.
ReplyDeleteÓtimas fotos! Legendadas!
Bjs e bom fim de semana!
Peter's comment made me curious so I went to see GE's view of the dam. Oh, yes, impressive is the right word for it. And I love the second photo, that view is delightful!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday.
Good that you added the GE views. I always like to place things on the map. I also like to follow the "map" when I'm flying to for me yet unknown places, trying to get a window seat.
ReplyDelete... and again thanks for your regular visits to my blog!
How FABULOUS Sonia...I LOVE that we can see where you are in a greater Conrxt...! Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI have to try doing that with my place, too!
Sonia, doesn't that first map look like a collage - you know a picture made up of lots of bits of little paper!
ReplyDeleteI really liked this post - so typical of you - you always do something unusual and interesting.
How may kilometres are you from Sao Paulo?
Did you here on the news there is a new google feature which lets you go into space and fly among the stars and planets?
Very nice with all the photos and the google earth as well!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of your beautiful area Sonia. Those bridges are fascinating out over the water like that! That water is so blue and pretty. You sure live in a pretty place!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice break!!!
Hugs,
Rachel
What an interesting post, Sonia! It's great to be able to put where you are in perspective.
ReplyDeletecheer for work (and the photographs) a true Michelin chart ;O)
Belo cenário!
ReplyDeleteGrato pela visita.
Um abraço.
Lindo Sonia! Eu uso google maps a lot. Bjs!
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia, What beautiful views you have from your house the water so blue and calm,
ReplyDeleteSonia e agora com direito à localização geográfica e tudo.
ReplyDeletePerfeito.
Um beijo
Your photo are always interesting and beautiful. These are really SPECIAL because you exactly let us understand where everything is. It's important in fact in my point of you, to be able to set places in a country. Thank you very much !
ReplyDeleteWow neat!
ReplyDeleteKool....its amazing to see the place we live from top angle, doesn't it?...thanks Sonia for sharing such good shots of your house and beautiful surrounding. this is tempting me to check Google earth asap..:))
ReplyDeleteSonia,
Beijos!
Awesome idea! I'm such a visual person and love seeing from a distance where I live what a great idea for you to do the same!!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the google pics on your site? I think I might do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteLooking at things from above is fun, isn't it? It's amazing how much detail we can see sometimes. In a couple of years we'll probably be able to zoom into each other's houses and say hello! :)
ReplyDeleteSince everyone has said it all I can just add...fascinating.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is so amazing. I love the first photo/map.
ReplyDeleteLucky you. You live right but the water.
Bjs,
Cris
