I found at Internet some years ago an amazing screensaver created by the artist Scott Snibbe. It’s a very creative screensaver and I would to share it with you.
and click to download the PC screensaver.
As said the artist, “Emptiness is Form refers to a Buddhist text called the Heart Sutra, which is the distillation of all teachings on Emptiness. Emptiness in Buddhism refers not to nothingness, but to the inherent lack of independent existence of all phenomena - both mental and physical.”
That screensaver does look interesting. I am using a Mac, so I can't download it. I would love a description, if the image changes, and what it becomes.
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia...
ReplyDeleteVery interesting image and I would love to see what it does just for the fun of it...I kind of like the Desk Top look I have, but it would be fun to see how this moves...
Thanks for telling me about it, my dear.
Hi Sonia,
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to visit you! This looks very nice. Amazing what people come up with isn't it? I'm still enjoying your pretty flowers from last time too!! You will have to share some more of them with us, they were so lovely.
Thanks for this link. I will check it out!
I find it kinda reminds me of the Irac crisis. Hostages imparticular. Bit scary really. Art is something different for each person I suppose. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, I will check it out.
Thank you Rexroth's Daughter for your visit and comment. Yes, the image changes with the movement of the little dots and a Buddha’s shape shows up with clearness.
ReplyDeleteThank you Naomi and thank you Rachel, for your visit and nice comment.
Wendy, thank you for your visit, too. I also think that art is something different for each person. When I was at college I read the author Umberto Eco and his idea of "open" works of art, in his book “The Open Work” (1962). His thesis is very interesting, focusing the element of multiplicity and plurality in art and the interactive process between reader (public) and text (work).
Dear Sonia--I appreciate the "Emptiness in Buddhism refers not to nothingness.." it is an exceptional quote and means much to me.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really interesting ... will have to take a look at that website. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Meow
Sonia, muito obrigada! I love this. I'm having it!
