These photos of a small Amusement Park were taken by my husband in a cold evening at Holambra's Fields, the village near our house. This typical country park just opened that day and it was almost empty... Did you see the dog layed in front of the shooting ranges?
Kind of quiet and lonely looking. Almost as if it is the end of the party.
ReplyDeleteYes! I see the little doggie----it had to be pretty quiet--No Shooting, for him to be resting so easily....
ReplyDeleteA very interesting place....I hope their business picked up as the evening wore on......
LOVE the pictures, and I adore your Header picture...It Is Gorgeous!
Lindo parque, sempre alegre de se ver.Belas fotos! beijos, tudo de bom, chica
ReplyDeleteYour header photo is exquisite Sonia.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little sad seeing such a fun amusment park so empty! But you did say it had just opened for the evening - I sure hope it got busier for their sakes!
Well done Carlos!
Hi Rose,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, the header photo was a little sad and I just changed it for one more amusing. Thank you!
What fun, and what a great place to take photos. I haven't been to an amusement park in a long time.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful variety of photos, Sonia. Some moody, some fun. These places remind me of racetracks, in that they're their own little world, we just visit. The people who travel town to town, we call them carnies.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs! And I am a little surprised seeing how both our latest posts were about amusement parks!!
ReplyDeleteBelow is the link if you would like to visit my amusement park story :)

I am always admiring people making a living from driving from town to town... with all kinds of equipments never knowing in advance if people will respond to their ads or callings.
ReplyDeleteAmusement at dusk: magic
ReplyDeleteLots of colour!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been on that one with the little cages?
I have.
It was awful.
You get stuck at the top of the wheel hanging upside down being held by a bar across your stomach.
It hurt!
Well, this does look lonely for an amusement park!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the dog is better by now!
All best wishes for a wonderful weekend.
Buster says woof!
Sonia
ReplyDeleteHi! I am sorry I don't know much about switching from Google Reader, I usually access everyone's blogs from the link on my blog. I am sure one of your pals can help?
Haunting photos of the lit up, yet empty amusement park. I hope the dog's foot healed well.
ReplyDeleteYou really captured the essence of an amusement park, both the fun and the bleaker feelings. All the photos are so good. I always enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY LOVE THIS POST
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of photos. These traveling amusement parks aren't to different from those that come through my area. The people running them are always a little left from center
ReplyDeleteMaravilhosas fotos Sonia
There is something about a traveling amusement park that I find very endearing. We have one come to our town every year. & I always love looking at the ferris wheel & riding in it too.
ReplyDeleteYour husband captured the park well Sonia,
& I especially love your banner shot.
