Every year this beautiful orange flower blooms in my backyard. I did not plant this flower anywhere else in my garden. I have no idea where it came from... It lays dormant all year long till the spring when them urges it upward. It is Hippeastrum striatum, from the family Amaryllidaceae, native to Brazil.
Ela é o Hippeastrum striatum, pertencente à família Amaryllidaceae, nativa do Brasil.

What beautiful plants. With your tropical foliage, I suspect you're warmer in your winter than we are in our summer!

Boa semana!! Beijus,

ReplyDeleteOh, these are beautiful. What a treat. And I love it when unexpected "visitors" arrive in the garden - I have a fuchsia that appeared one summer out of nowhere.
