David Hockney é um pintor, artista, cenógrafo, fotógrafo e gravador britânico. Hockney nasceu em Bradford, Inglaterra, em 9 de julho de 1937, filho de Kenneth e Laura Hockney. Hockney reside em Bridlington, Yorkshire East Riding e Kensington, Londres, mas mantém duas residências na Califórnia, onde viveu durante mais de 30 anos. Hockney é um importante expoente da Pop art, movimento da década de 1960, sendo considerado um dos mais influentes artistas britânicos do século 20. David Hockney é um dos meus pintores preferidos!

Hi Sonia - he has certainly inspired the art world ... modern art wouldn't be the same without him. He's always looking at new mediums, new ideas - love the 'dog-days' - which I hadn't realised he'd done ... cheers Hilary
