How beautiful! They don't build schools that look like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that no one smiles in the pictures though. They must have been very strict in those days. And the gym uniforms are... a little different from today :)
Hope you're having a gorgeous Sunday x
What an incredible old school, I love seeing old photos like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful building. It would be inspiring to learn in a school like that.
ReplyDeleteI love the old photos that show how much life has changed.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing these. And am I the only one who loved the little kid who stuck out his tongue?
ReplyDeleteYour high school building is very beautiful and historic too. The old pictures really give us a feeling about how it was then. The classroom looks like the classroom I had in elementary school in France – and that was not in the late 1800s!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Sonia. My high school Rhodes is now The US Trust on W. 54th Street, NYC.

It's so much fun to see these old photos, Sonia. I love the girls' dresses. And I'm glad Hiker pointed out the kid sticking out his tongue or I would've missed it! I guess kids back then were pretty much the same as they are now.
ReplyDeleteThat school at the top looks so much like the school building in Santa Cruz California. The community fought to save that building, and it's such a beauty, just like the one you show here. You have a lovely blog.
