Photos taken by my son Fernando from the window of the Penha Convent, in the city of Vitória, Espírito Santo State, Brazil.

Penha Convent is a convent located in Vila Velha, Brazil, on the top of a high mountain overlooking the cities of Vitória and Vila Velha. Founded in approximately 1558 by Pedro Palácios, today it is home to Espírito Santos's Patron Saint. Vitória is the capital of the State of Espírito Santo. It is located on a small island within a bay where a few rivers meet the sea. It was founded in 1551. Vitória is one of the three island capitals of Brazilian states, the others being Florianópolis and São Luís, and is located in the South-eastern region, the most developed of Brazil.

O convento de Nossa Senhora da Penha é um dos santuários mais antigos do Brasil, fundado por Frei Pedro Palácios, no ano de 1558, na cidade de Vila Velha, Espírito Santo. Do convento avista-se a cidade de Vitória e Vila Velha. Vitória é a capital do Espírito Santo e uma das três ilhas-capitais do Brasil (as outras são Florianópolis e São Luís).

Dutch's settler from Netherlands founded in 1960 Holambra II and the Cooperative Agro-Industrial Holambra. It's economy is mainly based in agriculture, pecuary and tourism. Holambra II is knowed as "The Capital of the Agriculture Technology"

CARICATURE QUIZ

Yesterday I had a great surprise! My friend Eduardo Lunardelli from Varal de Idéias made this amazing caricature and proposes

a question to his visiting: "Who is this lady?". Every Thursday Eduardo will make a new caricature and will invite all friends to guess "Who is this person?". He named this section "Thursday's Victim". Really this section quiz is very creative and funny!

Thank you so much Eduardo. I loved had been your first "victim"!

Theo Jansen (He was born in 17 March 1948 in Scheveningen, in the Netherlands ) is an artist and kinetic sculptor living and working in the Netherlands. He builds large works - "Strandbeest" - which resemble skeletons of animals which are able to walk using the wind on the beaches of the Netherlands. His animated works are a fusion of art and engineering. In a BMW television commercial, Jansen says "The walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds."

Theo Jansen (Ele nasceu em 17 de março de 1948, na cidade de Scheveningen, na Holanda) é um artista e escultor cinético holandês. A sua obra é especialmente conhecida pelos trabalhos de grandes dimensões que se assemelham a esqueletos de animais e que são capazes de caminhar utilizando a energia do vento. As suas obras são uma mistura de arte e engenharia; em um comercial de televisão da BMW, Theo Jansen afirma que "as fronteiras entre arte e engenharia existem apenas em sua mente".
