  6. My mother loved the flowers in your first picture. They were called Flamingos in Sweden. I don't know what they are called in English. Do you?

    1. Hello Inger!
In English these flowers are named Anthurium. It is a genus of about 1000 species of flowering plants, the largest genus of the arum family, Araceae. General common names include anthurium, tailflower, flamingo flower, and laceleaf.
In Portuguese they are named Antúrio. (From Wikipedia)
      Have a nice Sunday!

  8. The plant in your first picture is ANTHURIUM.... I have just been given one in a pot! I have to keep it indoors, far too cold here in Canada to go outside in the winter.
