Terrific photo! Really beautiful in both memory and aesthetics. My grandmother was a school teacher too. Starting in 1917 (at the age of 17) in a one room schoolhouse in Iowa. Wish I had a photo of her like you do of your grandfather.

ReplyDeleteThat's the best moustache I have seen for a long time! What a handsome man. Quite a lot of boys wearing a sailor suit. My father remembers wearing a sailor suit like that, but his was probably well used, as he had 3 older brothers who wore it before him.
