Have I mentioned I love orchids? They were planted by my son. Do you also love them? Do you have orchids in your garden?

  5. Hi again! Those are some great orchids, what I have learned they can be pretty tricky to maintain. I have had some in a pot, but ofcourse they don't enjoy so much living inside a house. Yours are blooming so much!

  15. I LOVE Orchids, Sonia...These are so very beautiful! All of them!
But that first one is quite extraordinary, isn't it? That third picture---I think I have seen that Orchid, but I'm not sure. I would need to see it closer. I LOVE That your son planted that first one. Did he plant the others, too?

And I do not have any Orchids in my garden, but often I have an Orchid or two in a pot, in the house. Such beautiful exotic plants!

    Beijo.

  22. Hi Sonia,
    Your orchids are beautiful :)
We grow them here too, and they take very little care. Most of mine came from my Mom and Grandma, so they are quite old.

  28. We don't usually grow them outdoors here Sonia. Most of them are kept indoors. The only season they would like outdoors is summer.

I'd love to have them outdoors like you do!

  42. How lucky to have orchids growing in your garden! We have a type of orchid called Lady Slippers which grow wild on our cottage property. They bloom in May but do not like to be moved so they don't grow in gardens, but it is just as nice to stroll through the woods and see them growing there the way Nature planted them.

  43. I love your garden....and the orchids are lovely.....

  44. First, my apologies for a bit of cut and paste commenting. I have been doing the rounds via Bloglines and looking at all the pictures from my favourite photo blogs, but haven’t been leaving comments. Generally, I try to comment every three or so days (I know how good it is for ‘morale’ to know that someone is out there appreciating them), but after the birth of my second son, I am a bit knackered to think up something witty and insightful on the hop. Thus the resort to Control+C and Control+P!

  49. Your orchids look like they are flourishing. I am from California and we can grow Epidendrium orchids, cymbidiums and cattleyas but dendrobiums don't do well here, at least not in the garden. Those are some nice photos, thanks for sharing.

  50. Beautiful orchards. I have a small house in northern Laos, and my neighbor's son keeps the yard bright with orchards and other flowers. The purple and white orchards at the top of your post are just like a species of orchard we have here.
