Holambra's Fields is a district, like a small town, with nice neighborhoods and friendly residents. You can see all around colorful and bucolic roads, beautiful greenhouses and many farmers.
Church of São José
You see in Holambra roads surrounded by beautiful scenery with many huge trees and colorful flowers.
You can see a Burrowing Owl (Coruja Buraqueira) on the fence
Those flowers attract many bees and this huge bee is known as "mamangaba"
All photos were taken by myself with exception of the greenhouses photos which were taken by my husband.
It is so wonderful to see so much green!! I can't wait for our brown to disappear.

TO JANICE THOMSON: This flower is named Powderpuff (in Portuguese is named Esponjinha). Powderpuff is from Brazil and can be a tree, a shrub or a dwarf shrub. All types have a sprawling growth habit. Best blooming is spring and summer. In good health, the foliage is a nice shiny green with compound evergreen leaves. Best is red although other colors can be seen. It's scientific name is

ReplyDeleteSometimes it doesn't look so much different from here but in others it is a whole different world. Especially the lovely tropical flowers growing along the road. How nice to stay so warm all the time. And all those Gerbera's in one place, I'd be in heaven! I love those flowers.
