My home in 1947... The house in 2016...

This was my home in São Paulo, in about 1947. The street was not paved and there were fewer houses in the street and the neighborhood was very secluded. My father sold the house in about 1950.
Esta era a minha casa em São Paulo, em torno de 1947. A rua não era pavimentada, havia poucas casas construídas e o bairro era muito isolado. Meu pai vendeu a casa em torno de 1950.

.
Today the street has many buildings and  the neighborhood is very busy.
Hoje a rua tem muitos prédios construídos e o bairro é muito movimentado.

  6. I liked it so much better when it was your home. I am not a fan of change, I don't do change well :) Your header picture is awesome and there was probably some big change that went on there to get that skyline!

  7. The best part of google street view, being able to take a look back without actually having to go there. I've looked up the apartment building I first lived in from 1952-1960 in a busy city in New Jersey. It's even busier now. A lot of people on the planet.

  10. I really like your house in 1947. Quite a different landscape now. The house I grew up in has been completely renovated, only half of one original wall is still standing, everything else is new.

  11. That's quite a change. I bet that property would be worth some money now, being in the middle of a big city like that!
