David Hockney's chairs...

David Hockney is one of my favorite painters and artists. He was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England on July 9, 1937. I love David Hockney's chairs.

  4. Those are excellent. Paintings of chairs as art, I never would have thought it. My favorite is the one with Stanley.

  8. I enjoyed these chairs very much. I particularly love his colours. And the wonky chair legs! Have you seen the movie "Tim's Vermeer"? It is about a man who devises an apparatus that will allow him to paint a "copy" of a painting by Dutch painter Vermeer. David Hockney is featured in this movie.... not his art, but his opinions. Wonderful movie.

  13. He's been doing some interesting work on the computer too. I saw the Hockney retrospective when it came into Los Angeles a while back. A friend of mine makes his canvasses for him.
