SUMMER AT THE BEACH (1946).... VERÃO NA PRAIA (1946)...
My mother Antonietta at the beach in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, in 1946. Caraguatatuba is a city in the eastern part of the southern state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra do Mar, that in Portuguese means Sea's ridge, and is a 1,500 km long system of mountain ranges and escarpments in Southeastern Brazil.

That photo of your mom walking towards the ocean deserves a soundtrack -- piano, maybe? or strings.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photos! I especially love the pictures of your mom! I agree with Altadenahiker about the soundtrack. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you still visit that beach? If so, just one more connection between Now and Then.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

She was very pretty! How special that you have such good photos of her from back then.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so much fun to have. We've got a number of old photos of our parents that we treasure. Can you imagine, though, what our kids are going to have to do when they see the thousands of images we've taken down through the years.
ReplyDeleteI'd say your mother was born a few years before I was. She's beautiful!
