MY GARDEN (AGAIN!)... MEU JARDIM (DE NOVO!)...

Yes, I'm posting photos about my garden again. I hope you aren't getting bored of seeing my flowers and trees another time.
Sim, estou postando fotos do meu jardim mais uma vez. Espero que vocês não fiquem entediados ao verem minhas flores e minhas árvores novamente.

Bauhinia forficata, commonly known as Brazilian orchid tree, "Pata de Vaca", is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae, that is native to Brazil.  Pata-de-vaca (Bauhinia forficata), nativa do Brasil.

Does anyone know the name of this orchid?

My dear friend Flávia told me that this orchid is Oncidium flexuosum. Thanks Flávia!

Golden Trumpet Tree, in Portuguese "Ipê Amarelo", scientific name is Tabebuia chrysotricha.
Photos taken by myself in my garden this week.

  13. I've seen these orchids for sale in the shops but never growing on a tree. We seem to only have luck with one we refer to as poor man's orchid.

Have you ever read "The Orchid Theif"? very good book on the colonial industrialist who would hire men to brave exotic places in order to bring back specimens not seen in the western world
