Zeca Pagodinho is a great Brazilian composer and singer. Enjoy!
It's true - Verdade
I found out that I love you so much I found out in your my peace I found out, without meaning to, what life means It's true To get your love for me, I did some witchcraft I came with the swing of a capoeirist and knocked your feelings off I just made fun of heart I led you to the banks of a river for a supper with bread, wine and flowers around and some light for guiding you through your way It was the total redemption of love It's true I found out that I love you so much I found out in you my peace I found out, without even meaning to, what life means It's true How can I deny this lovely emotion that does my heart an my sleeping passion so good my love please set me on fire our bed is like a cobweb your look's like light that lights up my way like the bright of the full moon I can't even think of losing you poor me If this love ever fades out without you, my happiness would die of so much pain It's true. Bora sambar!
ReplyDeleteMuito bom Sonia. Sempre gostoso ouvir estes gigantes.
Bjão
It was lovely Sonia! I can't dance for anything, but the beat made me want to!!
ReplyDeleteI was amazed my internet connectivity let me watch and listen, it doesn't usually.

I could here them both PERFECTLY! I liked both songs and I like him a lot too! Not as much as I like Jobim though. Jobim's music is so much more complex and the chord structures are ALL so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt was great to read the words of what he was singing about....Thank You So Much, my dear Sonia....!
Dancing songs!!
ReplyDeleteCara Sonia,
ReplyDeletegostei muito da "Verdade"!
Abraço
Nice music, the videos worked here in the USA, and I've never seen him before. It makes sense that Brazil gets lots of lightning - we get ours because of the nearby mountains, but Brazil has lots of rainforest.
ReplyDeleteI was able to watch both. I LOVE the rhythm and the feeling of joy when Zeca sings.
ReplyDelete"....with the swing of a capoierista" ...just great. I didn't know that samba could be used as a verb too...sambar! My favourite is pagode.
ReplyDeleteThank you for explaining Dia de Namorados. I don't know if it's getting more commercialised now but it sounds much more traditional than Valentine's Day. Poor women...always the ones who have to do the work ;)
The videos worked perfectly. You brought some summer into a cold and rainy day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sonia. I love to dance. My expression is limitless when I am dancing. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Melanie
