    About Ferragosto, the name of this Italian holiday has no translation in other languages because it derives from its original Latin name, Feriae Augusti = "Festivals [Holidays] of the Emperor Augustus" (The holiday was designated by the Emperor Ottaviano Augusto in 18 B.C.).
