Those photos were taken by my husband from the terrace of his mother's former apartment. You can see Pinheiros (a district in São Paulo), the skyscrapers at Faria Lima Avenue and the Club Pinheiros just in front of my mother in law apartment.
Beijo, menina
What a difference between your photos and the ones that my aunt made when she was living in Sao Paolo 40 years ago. But the green places are still there...! Greetings from cold and foggy Switzerland! Barbara
Hellooooooo, hellooo, my dear Sonia. Look at those great photos your hubby took. Lots of things to see and discover in these photos. Very interesting and very different from most cities, too.
I'm curious about the low-rise buildings in the bottom photo, what are they? One of them seems to have a rather elaborate domed roof.
Thanks to everybody for the visiting and nice words!
Fênix, the low-rise buildings in the bottom photo is the old "sede" (location) of the Pinheiros Sport Club. The building with the domo is the "Salão de Festas", The Ball Room.
Everytime I see pictures of this BEAUTIFUL City, Sonia, I am overwhelmed at the size and denseness of al the buildings and therefore, the city itself. It is like New York in that way, but it seems to me, MORE SO! Your MIL Had some lovely views from her apartment....And also the 'green' as well as buildings....Lovely, my dear.
What a beautiful view! Very pretty skyline and lots of trees and green! (not just tons of cement!) Looks very tropical! Happy Belated Birthday to your wonderful daughter!!!
Sonia querida, lindas fotos.
Hi Sonia, Loved seeing your pictures!! A very happy belated birthday to your lovely daughter. Sonia, thank you so much for your kindness and caring regarding my Dad. His eyes are just a little better as I write this. xo
I understand you miss Sao Paulo now and then, despite your lovely house and surroundings!
I already told you I should have been there early this year, but unfortunately I retired a few weeks too early, so my successor went instead! Now I have anyhow somehow visited! Thanks to you and to Carlos!
Did I tell you I plan to be in South America soon, but on the other side (Peru and Bolivia)?
Lindas fotos! Bjs!
I love these photos your husband has taken. What a huge huge city to live in! I wouldn't know what to do being so used to the country life. I also wanted to say happy belated birthday to your beautiful daughter!
Sonia, hello again! Your president is in this moment in Finland and he tries to sell us some biological "know how" from Brazil :) Thank you for your kind words on my pages.

What a contrast: tropical trees and tall skyscrapers. Fascinating!

Dear Sonia,
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a skyline of a city larger and more beautiful and this, including New York City!
These photos are fabulous. What a wonderful place, Sao Paulo. I can only dream to visit there one day.
Bravo on such wonderful photos!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful city landscape. Nice view from the apartment.
