SÃO PAULO - VIEW TO SÃO PAULO

Those photos were taken by my husband from the terrace of his mother's former apartment. You can see Pinheiros (a district in São Paulo), the skyscrapers at Faria Lima Avenue and the Club Pinheiros just in front of my mother in law apartment.

    Sonia,
    belas fotos do bairro de Pinheiros. E as árvores do C.A.Pinheiros se destacam, uma ilha verde em meio ao concreto cinza, green/grey; Meu filho Tiago trabalha alí pertinho, na Henrique Monteiro.
    Trabalhei muito nesse bairro, para mim era "caminho da roça".

    What a difference between your photos and the ones that my aunt made when she was living in Sao Paolo 40 years ago. But the green places are still there...!

    Hellooooooo, hellooo, my dear Sonia. Look at those great photos your hubby took. Lots of things to see and discover in these photos. Very interesting and very different from most cities, too.

    I'm curious about the low-rise buildings in the bottom photo, what are they? One of them seems to have a rather elaborate domed roof.

    Fênix, the low-rise buildings in the bottom photo is the old "sede" (location) of the Pinheiros Sport Club. The building with the domo is the "Salão de Festas", The Ball Room.

    Everytime I see pictures of this BEAUTIFUL City, Sonia, I am overwhelmed at the size and denseness of al the buildings and therefore, the city itself. It is like New York in that way, but it seems to me, MORE SO! Your MIL Had some lovely views from her apartment....And also the 'green' as well as buildings....Lovely, my dear.

    I already told you I should have been there early this year, but unfortunately I retired a few weeks too early, so my successor went instead! Now I have anyhow somehow visited! Thanks to you and to Carlos!

    Did I tell you I plan to be in South America soon, but on the other side (Peru and Bolivia)?

    Realmente alguma coisa acontece no coração da gente, quando vê esta vista de São Paulo. Lindas fotos.

    Fazemos aniversário no mesmo dia Sonia, por isso temos tantas coisas parecidas.
