MY HOUSE: TREES AND VIEW... MINHA CASA: ÁRVORES E VISTA

This beautiful tree in my garden is a native tree from Brazil, named Canafístula or Chuva-de-Ouro (means in English "Rain of Gold"). The Cassia ferruginea, from the family Leguminosae-Caesalpinoideae, bears the most flagrant flowers, which are arranged in hanging racemes. The flowers appear in October, November and December.

View to the back of the house. This tree with red fruits is a Pitanga Tree, in Portuguese, Pitangueira. (Click on green link to go to other page).

View to the Jurumirim Dam from the top of my house’s water reservoir.

  3. I think your home is ideally situated, Sonia. What a lovely area! I love that rain of gold tree; the blossoms are beautiful. The foliage looks something like mimosa tree foliage.

  7. What beautiful pictures, as always. And so close to the water .. how wonderful! That is what is missing here at my house - a lake or dam or even a creek right out side my door.

    Blessings

Tu vives no Paraíso.
Compreendo o teu orgulho e as tuas raízes.
    Abraço
