FAREWELL ... DESPEDIDA ...

My dear friends unfortunately this is a very sad post. Carlos, my dearest and so beloved husband, my source of love, joy, comfort and great companionship for almost 47 years passed away of a fulminating heart attack. 

Carlos was always a wonderful , lovely and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. 

We all do not have enough words to express our so deep sorrow, our profound sadness and infinity missing of our  dearest Carlos...

His so beautiful photos and great inspiration and colaboration have always illustrated and illuminated my blog since its beginning in 2005. Without his great talent Leaves of Grass would not have been as it was.

Meus queridos amigos infelizmente este é um tristíssimo post. Carlos, meu querido e muito amado marido, minha fonte de amor, alegria, conforto e grande companheirismo por quase 47 anos faleceu de um fulminante ataque cardíaco. 

Carlos foi sempre um maravilhoso e dedicado marido, pai e avô. 

Nós todos não temos palavras suficientes para expressar toda a nossa profunda dor, imensa tristeza e infinitas saudades do nosso querido Carlos...

Suas belíssimas fotos, sua grande inspiração e colaboração sempre ilustraram e iluminaram o meu blog desde o seu início em 2005. Sem o seu imenso talento o Leaves of Grass jamais teria sido como foi.

David Hockney is a British painter, draftsman, printmaker, photographer, and stage designer. Hockney was born in Bradford, England, on 9 July 1937, the son of Kenneth and Laura Hockney and the fourth of five children . He is based in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire and Kensington, London. Hockney maintains two residences in California, where he lived on and off for over 30 years. Hockney is an important contributor to the Pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. David Hockney is one of my favorite painters!

When I walk around the town of Avaré, where I've been living for three years now, I really enjoy looking at the residential houses and appreciate their architecture.
Quando eu passeio pela cidade de Avaré, onde eu moro há três anos, gosto muito de olhar as casas residenciais e apreciar sua arquitetura. 

The city of Avaré was founded in 1861 and is a city in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, located 270 km from the state capital São Paulo. The urban population in 2010 was about 79.391 inhabitants. The economy is based on agriculture, cattle ranching and tourism. The great attraction of the region include the beautiful Jurumirim Dam.
A cidade de Avaré foi fundada em 1861 e está situada no Estado de São Paulo, Brasil, a 270 km da Capital paulista. A população urbana em 2010 era de 79.391 habitantes. A economia está baseada na agricultura, pecuária e turismo. A grande atração da região é a bela Represa Jurumirim.

In Brazil, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. No Brasil o Dia das Mães é comemorado no segundo domingo de Maio.

NEIL FINN - DRIVING ME MAD & DON'T DREAM IT'S OVER

Neil Mullane Finn (Born 27 May 1958) is a New Zealand singer/songwriter and musician. With his brother Tim Finn, he was the co-frontman for Split Enz, a project that he joined after it was initially founded by Tim and others, and is now frontman for Crowded House. He has also recorded several successful solo albums and assembled diverse musicians for the 7 Worlds Collide project; contributor Ed O'Brien, also guitarist for Radiohead, has hailed Finn as popular music's "most prolific writer of great songs". Finn rose to prominence in the late 1970s with Split Enz and wrote the successful songs "One Step Ahead", "History Never Repeats", "I Got You" and "Message to My Girl", among others. Finn rose to international fame after Split Enz broke up in 1984. While his brother Tim left for England, Neil was the founder of Crowded House with Split Enz's last drummer Paul Hester in 1985. The group achieved international success in 1987 when they released the beautiful single "Don't Dream It's Over", written by Neil.

Finn ficou conhecido no final dos anos 1970 depois de substituir o vocalista e compositor Phil Judd na banda Splitz Enz da qual fazia parte seu irmão Tim Finn. Com o grupo, Finn escreveu os hits "One Step Ahead", History Never Repeats", "I Got You" e Message to My Girl", entre outros. No Crowed House, Finn permaneceu até 1996, para iniciar uma bem sucedida carreira solo, lançando dois albuns com o irmão Tim, intitulados "Finn Brothers". Finn cantou uma versão de "Misty Mountains", música tema do filme "O Hobbit: Uma Jornada Inesperada". Sua linda composição "Don't Dream It's Over faz muito sucesso até hoje.

Tim McGraw & Sandra Bullock

Samuel Timothy "Tim" McGraw (born May 1, 1967) is an American country singer, songwriter and actor. McGraw has ventured into acting, with supporting roles in "The Blind Side", with Sandra Bullock, that has won the best actress Oscar and her first Academy Award in 2010.  "The Blind Side" is a great film and Sandra Bullock is one of my preferred actress!

Samuel Timothy "Tim" McGraw (1 de maio de 1967) é um cantor e compositor norte-americano de música country e também ator. McGraw atuou em "The Blind Side", "Um Sonho Possível", com Sandra Bullock, que ganhou seu primeiro Oscar de melhor atriz em 2010. "Um Sonho Possível" é um ótimo filme e  Sandra Bullock é uma das minhas atrizes preferidas!
